It is official: I have found the best baked beans on the planet. Delicious, not squishy or over-cooked, and with plenty of real chunky flavor, Mickey's Dining Car in St. Paul, Minnesota has captured my baked-bean-loving heart.
They also have good burgers, excellent french fries, and home-made breakfast food all day. The place is a pre-World War II era dining car that has been family-owned and open 24/7 for over 70 years. If you are ever in St. Paul, you must stop and try their baked beans (and maybe some other food, too).
